🔐 Member PortalAll WPISL coaches must obtain and maintain current Pennsylvania clearances. These are required before coaching any games.
The Pennsylvania State Police Request for Criminal Record (PATCH) is required for all volunteers and employees working with minors.
The Child Abuse History Clearance from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services is required under Act 153.
FBI fingerprint-based background check required for coaches who have not lived in Pennsylvania for the past 10 consecutive years.
Pennsylvania law requires all school coaches to complete the following training courses before coaching.
Recognizing and responding to concussions. Required under Pennsylvania's Concussion Management Law (Act 101).
Recognizing the warning signs of sudden cardiac arrest in young athletes. Required under Pennsylvania's Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Act.
Core coaching principles covering athlete welfare, teaching skills, and legal responsibilities. Recommended for all WPISL coaches.
